Uniting Online and Offline Retail Businesses in Uzbekistan: Meet Billz

The AIFC member and retail startup from Uzbekistan, Billz, has launched its fundraising campaign on VentureRocket Eurasia!

Founded in 2017 by Rustam Khamdamov, Billz is an automation solution designed for small and medium retail businesses.

“The idea of the startup is not new. However, we try to implement it in a much more convenient and intuitive way while best solving the client’s problem. We try to focus on simplicity, design, and usability. Our team also pays great attention to the service, so that customers always feel comfortable working with us”, – says Rustam.

✔️It’s all about features
The startup offers a set of innovative and easy-to-use tools that facilitate the process of selling goods, including:
–launching an online store,
-integrating your equipment, payment systems, and more into your store,
-setting up a Telegram chatbot,
-analyzing sales, managing goods, staff, and finances,
-educating your staff on the retail processes,
-and much more.

✔️Existing traction
The Billz solution already covers more than 700 active users throughout Uzbekistan, including online stores and those ones selling goods through Telegram bots.

 ✔️Trustworthiness
The team’s already covered the first investment round. In 2020, Billz raised $150,000 from the British VC fund called Sturgeon Capital who is still keeping on investing in the startup. Robin Butler, the CIO at Sturgeon Capital, recognizes Billz as a “good example” of contribution to digitalization and retail automation. Having invested in several Uzbekistani retail startups before, Robin says that Billz is led by “one of the most talented management teams in Central Asia”. At the same time, the CEO of Sturgeon Capital, Kiyan Zandieh, calls Billz “one of the most innovative companies in Uzbekistan”.

What’s Next?
In the future, the startup’s planning to “improve the product and create something that will help the customers run their business even easier while growing both online and offline”.

The raised money will contribute to the technical development of the startup as well as help Billz scale both regionally and globally.

The fundraising campaign will last till 20 March 2022.
